Travel Weekly announced Fox World Travel as the winner of two 2020 Magellan Gold Awards in the overall travel agency innovation category for our custom implementation dashboard and innovative response to the volume of unused tickets caused by COVID-19, developing a custom waivers table that automatically matches online bookings to appropriate waivers. Additionally, Fox was awarded a Silver Magellan in outstanding marketing web and advertising for its online Little Foxplorers Adventure Camp program.
This marks the third consecutive year Fox has received honors from Travel Weekly, bringing their total to four Magellan Awards. Fox’s previous award-winning innovations include the one-of-a-kind Fox Professional Travel Certification training program and Waivers 3i technology. These awards fulfill Fox’s vision to advance the travel industry through innovation and inspiration.
“Core to Fox is our unwavering focus on innovation and the customer experience,” said Fox CEO Chip Juedes. “I am beyond proud of our Fox Family for earning three Magellan awards for doing what we believe is simply the right thing to do, innovate so we can improve the customer experience.”
With entries from across the U.S. and around the world, the Magellan Awards represent the best of the travel industry and salute the outstanding travel professionals behind it all.
“Magellan winners are those in the industry who communicate travel’s promise, through words, images and design, in ways that ring true and stand out,” said Arnie Weissmann, editor in chief of Travel Weekly. “They create the environments and craft the messages that spark travelers’ imaginations.”
The Magellan Awards are judged and overseen by a one-of-a-kind panel of top travel professionals representing the best names and most accomplished leaders from the industry.
The Magellan Awards honor outstanding services in a broad range of industry segments including hospitality, travel destinations, cruise lines, online travel services, airlines and airports, travel agents and agencies, tour operators and ground transportation.
